First Café of Europe in Enghien-les-Bains

The first Café of Europe « Invisible Cities » has been organized by the Centre of Arts (www.cda95.fr) on behalf of the city hall of Enghien-les-Bains in partnership with the City Tourist Office, the European Historic Thermal Towns Association and the Route of Spa Towns in the Massif Central. This Café mainly questioned the role played by digital creation in the knowledge and enhancement of the European cultural heritage.


          


The city of Enghien-les-Bains which received the prestigious label of « tourist station » panerai replica from the Ministry of Tourism in 2012 is world-famous today for its expertise in terms of digital creation.This free event was part of a partnership with the Futur en Seine Festival.

How does the digital creation revolutionize the visitor experience? How must it impact the European thermal tourism in a near future? European decision-makers, sociologists, researchers, artists and writers have been invited to debate around these issues in round-table discussions,www.hellopanerai.com to interact with text reading from travel writers and to feature key projects. The whole EHTTA network has attended the event.

Application developed

In order to reinforce its cultural, historical, patrimonial touristic communication, the city of Enghien-les-Bains has launched, during the Café, its mobile application. It is available on Google Play and on the Apple Store. In this application, four major issues are available :

  • History and culture
  • Practical Enghien: all the information necessary to get to the town and stay there
  • The application is available in 3 languages
