Gaël Hamon

With tenure of a professional certificate of historical monuments (BPMH), stonemason and fitter, he worked for 5 years on various restoration projects before creating Graphic Art and Heritage in 1994. For 19 years, he manages and develops AGP and contributed to the emergence of the photogrammetry market and of the lasergrammétrie applied to historical monuments. The French AGP is now the French leader with more than 900 prestigious references in France and abroad (Notre Dame de Paris, the Louvre, Versailles, Mont Saint Michel, Arles Amphitheatre, projects in Russia, Albania, Egypt, Madagascar, Afghanistan, Armenia, etc.). For 13 years, thanks to new laser technology, he has developed the field of the 3D and architectural works of art digitisation in order to create enhancement tools, especially in the field of 3D Interactive applications, augmented reality and mobile devices in historic sites.

 

Gael Hamon was world champion in International Olympiad of professions in 1991, stonemason section, best French competitor in all trades section. He is currently Vice-President of the Association of fitters of France and provides technical courses on the digitisation and the enhancement of cultural heritage in several schools and universities, such as the National Institute of Heritage, Avignon School of Art, the Poitiers, Cergy Pontoise and Nanterre Universities.
