Wolfgang Gerstner

Wolfgang Gerstner studied law at the university of Freiburg, where he also graduated. He began his career working for the Baden-Baden and Lörrach taxation office and the Treasury Department of Baden-Württemberg, before he became Regierungsdirektor and personal assistant of Baden-Württemberg’s state-secretary. In 1992, he was elected the Mayor of Sigmaringen and held the office until his resignation in 2006. On March 12, 2006, Wolfgang Gerstner was elected Lord Mayor of Baden-Baden and started work on June 10.
